T26E4 Tamiya - Heng Long hybrid 1:16
Greatings, comrade tankers!
Today I'd like to announce You my new victim...
It starts in the autumn 2013, when I bought not expensive Tamiya Pershing shell without any electronics, excepting motors and gearboxes.
But then in the June 2014. I found on the ebay Heng Long Pershing, that was moded in to the T26E4.
When it arrives, I opened it and found there RX13 electronics and plastic gears:
And, of course, I decided to change it to the Taygen 2,4 GHz system and black steel gearboxes, that I found in my storage.
I took out BB shooting mechanism and installed Heng Long recoil and IR system:
But then I decided to use Tamiya hulls and Heng Long turret...
And there comes my another Frankenstein!

One more step:
Then I took a little bit closer look at different T26E4 pictures and decided to remake work:
And I made copper light guards instead of plastic ones:
Now I am in doubt - to place this construction on front armour or leave the art untouched:
Thanks to the Dave "Forgebear" for the metal hatches:

Re: T26E4 Tamiya - Heng Long hybrid 1:16
Nice work indeed
I´d like to ask you, how did you manage to make such small threads and nuts for attaching spare track links to the turret?
Looks damn good and realistic!
